I suck..
I really do. I've neglected my blog for almost a month! I could tell you all the reasons, like I had to plan my daughter's birthday party, finish up training for Silver Strand and then get ready for some holiday travel (which is all true), but it would probably sound just like excuses so I will definitely get this blog caught up! PROMISE!! It truly has been a busy November!

Random Stuff: It's so me..
Just wanted to share this picture going around the web. It totally reminds me of me when I run. (I think I may even have a yellow jacket like the one the little girl is wearing!) Whenever I look at it, I can't help but laugh!! Have you ever seen the episode of Friends, where Phoebe and Rachel go running together? And Phoebe runs all crazy because she says it more fun to run like that. Now I may not run quite as crazy as Phoebe does, but I know I sure don't look like the girl at the top of the picture but I sure do have fun running and that's the whole point, isn't it?

Random Stuff: Why do you run?
"People ask why I run. I say, 'If you have to ask, you will never understand.' It is something only those select few know. Those who put themselves through pain, but know, deep down, how good it really feels."
~ Erin Leonard, competitive runner.
I don't think anyone could have said it better.
Happy Wednesday everyone!

Random Stuff: Faster?
So I took the little one out for a run in our newly fixed BOB stroller. In anticipation of the run, I brought along everything I thought she might need while we were out - water, snacks, her little electronic princess game, a sweater - you get the idea. We set out for a 4 mile run around our neighborhood. One mile in, it's taking a little getting used to running with a (packed!) stroller! I'm huffin' and puffin' pretty hard! Feels like I haven't run in months! But I still don't hear a sound. No cookie? No water? No, change the Dora episode on my iTouch? Sweet. Second mile, now I feel like we are flyin'!! But its taking alot of energy to keep a good pace. At the same time, I'm so pleasantly surprised she's still just chillin'. I think, I'm gonna take her on ALL my runs! How fun would that be?!? Third mile, I can hear her yelling something something but can't really make it out because of the traffic so I stop and ask her if she needs anything. She says, "Yeah Mommy go faster!!" "Go faster?! Seriously?", I say. Groan. She may have to stay home from now on.
